She's adorable Tigerlily! Question...where did you get her from?

I ask because I had an adolescent cat that looks very similar to her that apparently someone dropped off at my house. It just showed up and of course the kids fed and pet it. Needless to say, it's ours now.

I think word is getting around town that my house is a pet sanctuary; the only one we actually sought to have was the dog!

We now have:

1 dog
3 cats
2 ducks
1 iguana
1 fishtank

Our bunny rabbit died last weekend.

She is a mixed breed cat. Mother was a short hair tortiose shell and dad must have been a very fluffy and long haired grey, white with possible tabby due to the dark tabby like stripes I see on her.

My question is how is it best to handle the little presents that are stuck to her backside after using the litter pan?

I have had this twice so far. The first time I pulled them off iwth a tissue as there were only one or two.

Mind you the litter pan is cleaned daily, but today she has several poopy mats on her backside. I tried to pull them off as I did before and she was not liking that.

So I ended up using the kitty brush and her was not happy. Sould I cut the backside fur or just continue to brush it?

Just get rid of her.

I have a long hair and I cut the fur from around her butt...and have done so since she was a kitten...no big deal...and you dont need to cut a lot of it.
Just trim it down by 1/2. She will keep the area clean once she can manage the shorter fur!

Congratulations!!!!!

Thanks to all. She is such a love and has done very well adjusting to life with another cat and dog. She goes to bed in my son's room, which I think is so cute how she knows her her owner is.

Then she sneaks in my room in the middle of the night and chases my toes. That twinges a bit.

I remember about 25 years ago my mother had the most beautifull short haired black and white cat named Tuxedo. He had the most amazing marking I have ever see.

The first cats I can ever remember were my mom's two burmease(sp) Bonnie & Clyde. She had them since I was a baby. Poor Bonnie died of luekemia at 11 but Clyde lived until I was 17. So sad they were my first pets ever.
