Are they leaving him??

Good Morning all. I have a question for you all. We have neighbor’s that are in the process of moving and they have been going to their new place every night this week. The thing is they have an outside cat. I just have this strange feeling they are leaving him and not taking him with them. If they do that, how can I get him to come to our house for food and water?? I have 2 inside cats and would LOVE to adopt this outside cat, but he would have to stay outside. I hope you all can help me.
TIA

That's what I was going to do, but I am afraid he won't come over to the house.

If they leave him without food, he'll find what you leave for him....so will the raccoons, opossums and other creatures, but if the cat is friendly, he'll find it before the wild animals do.

That is what I am afraid of!! He is a friendly cat, he just doesn't know us that good though.

I've moved folks with cats before and the ABSOLUTE last thing you take is the cat. It makes sense to me that they'd take him AFTER they were done running stuff in and out of the new house. He knows where "home" is now... but won't know that about the new house until he gets settled so it's a huge risk to have him running in and out at the new place without him first memorizing his new address.
