Question Need Help for my Kitty

I need help for my 14-year old Calico. He was absolutely fine yesterday and has always been in relatively good health (with the exception of a heart murmer), but all of a sudden this morning, he almost fell down the stairs and can barely walk now. I have no idea what could have happened.

He seems to be alert and wants to eat. He just can't jump or walk without extreme difficulty. :breakingmyheart:

I know cats have a very high threshhold for pain, but he doesn't try to bite or attack me when I pick him up, and it doesn't appear that any of his limbs are crooked or anything, so although I'm not 100% certain, I don't think there is anything broken.

Anyone have any ideas?

It's not like you can hold it up to the computer and do a cat scan so we can see what's going on.

that happened to my 11 yo pup. She had a bad disk in her back. Not real sure about cats though. Vet is your best choice. especially since you really cannot give cats any meds..a dog you oculd give an aspirin..but cats..you cant.
