My cats are dumb

I got a pet door insert for my sliding glass door and shoved the dummies through it. Now they're freaking and refuse to come back through - just sitting there crying at the door like a pack of idiots. I opened the flap and stuck my head through, hoping they would realize that this was an opening. Then I held the flap open, so they could see that it was in fact an opening.

No dice.

Kiki is actually launching herself at the glass about 6 inches away from the flap.

Stupid.

Dumb? They have us humans providing them a home, food, letting them in and out daily... so... I have to disagree... somewhere in every feline is a genius. I mean seriously, they have Vrai putting her head in and out of a pet door and you know they are probably going around the corner high pawing each other saying... did ya see the dumb bia... don't they know we are royal felines and should have a door person. We're not complying with this non-sense...

I have a doggie door for my cats and they learned by the end of the day to come and go as they please. They actually sit at the door waiting for me to open it so they can get out on the deck! Love it!

I put a cat door in for mine and at first they didn't want to use it, but once I opened a can of food, all 4 tried to come through at once, that was pretty funny.
