We recorded a payment request from "-shopsafe.com-" to enable the charge of $ 95.73 on your account.
Because the order was made from an european internet address, we put an Exception Payment on transaction id #PayPal-m37321 motivated by our Tracking System.

This payment is pending for the moment ,if you didn't make this payment and would like to decline :
If you made this transaction or if you just authorize this payment, please ignore or remove this email message. The transaction will be shown on your monthly statement .
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter .
PayPal Inc.Payments Departement,

I don't have a paypal account.
I do use paypal and got 2 emails saying "This email is notification that a payment of $47.56 was sent to Anita Castillo for item # xxxxx
Very PayPal looking email.

I freak out and go to my online bank acct. and see no withdrawls. Rush to my paypal acct. and see no activity. Hrmmmmmm....

Go back to the email where I saw a paragraph with a link if I wish to dispute this charge. I click the link. Takes me to some pharmaceutical page or something.

Went back to PayPal and found the "report fraud" link and reported them.

I'm thinking if you clicked on ANY link in the e-mail the damage is done..

When viewing the e-mail... go to tools, and find a selection to View Source.. You'll find the originating IP, and you can use onile tools to find where the IP comes from.. Usually Nigeria, or someplace in the EU.. If they are good there will be 5 - 10 IP addresses there, and you may have to check all of them to find the true source.

Arul's IP Address Tracking Program - Track or trace any IP address and find the ISP that owns it

I don't think this is the site I USUALLY use, but see how it works out for you!

This came to me from Poland through an At&T server (apparently they hacked a company e-mail server)

Ok, I got a new one. This one is REALLY tricky. It REALLY, REALLY looks legit. Paypal has confirmed that it is a spoof, but if I had a paypal account, I might have been fooled.

I think I can get it to show here, but it's too long for one post...

I can't get it to show the graphics, just trust me it's flashy and looks legit...

Dear users of PayPal services,

Due to upcoming October 2007, and recent changes in PayPal's Service Agreement you need to submit additional details on your PayPal account. Starting from 2007 all PayPal accounts will come with complete detailed information! Identity protection matters. And PayPal works day and night to help keep your identity safe.

According the new changes in Service Agreement any unverified account will be deleted from the system in 72 hours after receiving this letter.
