Ran this last night and it made a world of difference on my hybrid system.

Thanks! What a jump in speed! Reminds me of a what a twin turbo charged Mercury GM can do.

does this freeware contain any spyware? I downloaded the version for Vista and some of the controls are misspelled like they were done by a teenager. right now i let my firewall block it from accessing the internet because I'm not sure why it would need to if it is tweaking the system.

BTW, what the heck is Thoosje? that's the website you download it from.

I'm not sure about what Thoosje is, I downloaded their sidebar and it was pretty cool. Went there to get an updated version of it and ran across the optimizer.

I ran Defender anti-spyware and Avast Anti-Virus right after I installed it and they both came back clean.

I scanned the file before installing it. The program has bunch of check boxes, it'd be nice if they stayed checked/unchecked so you know what you did the next time you ran it. I'm not sure if i'm optimized or not since I have a quad proc and 3 gigs of ram, not enough to notice a difference, maybe on slower systems you would.

I have to afford a new top of the line computer.

My hybrid 1.7GHz w/ 1GB RAM and ATI graphics does the job.

I had to remove SimRacing, but I've got racing games for the Wii so it's fine.

Last week I was thinking of buying a new graphics card, an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or GTS to replace the crap 8500GT that came with the PC.....but now I'm probably gonna use that money to replace my broken Xbox360. It's amazing how much the high-end graphics cards cost.....as much as an xbox360 or PS3
