| I just got some software and a usb cable from the local Verizon store tonight. They said I could "teather" and use my phone as a modem. That's kinda neat. I'm trying it out now. If I don't like it I can return it within 30 days. I will be out of luck in Aussie though, its only nationwide. ![]()

| The data package is separate from the phone, so when he is doing a data transfer (using it as a modem, web surfing from the phone, checking e-mails from the phone) it is charged against the data plan, not the voice plan. |

| So if person doesn't have a data plan can you still transfer data or is it disabled?

| You can still transfer, but you get charged by the day (I think it is $1.99) and by the MB... I do not know what that rate is, but it is something goofy... |
