It is pretty cool. I pick up my daughter from school and she wanted to run over to McDonald's (Leonardtown) for lunch and some play time. I had my laptop with me and remembered seeing the WiFi flyer on their window. Sure enough, I sat down (while she was playing) and turned on my LapTop and boom - had access. It cost me $1.98 for an hour and I proceeded to download my WindowsXP Service Pack 3 (300+MB) and updated everything else on my laptop - pretty cool!

Damn! Is that internet through your cell phone?

My monthly access is supposed to be $59.99 a month but we'll see.

Your phone should be set as a cell phone with no data plan (unless it is a smart phone and you need that capability then you get a data plan added to that line for $59.99/month) - if you use it for the web or to check e-mail without the data plan you will get charged by the minute...

Your USB Broadband cards should be $59.99 a month - period. That is with no cell phone service, just a pure data plan...

I would DEFINITELY call and b!tch at them.

My cell phone bill is never over $50. I'm kosher w/ that. I don't even use a quarter of my minutes each month because no one calls me.

I got billed for a partial month and a whole month PLUS activation charges PLUS I went over my 5 GB. Too much porn I guess.

Oh My Dayum!

Be careful with that 5GB cap - if you go over it one to many times they will cancel your account, no warnings and you will get black flagged by Verizon.

That is why I went with Sprint on the Data Plan - truly unlimited... I love Verizon and have them as my cell carrier, but that 5GB was enough to make me use Sprint for my Internet.

How do you know when you're near your cap? I use my modem on my laptop and my home PC. How many kilobytes equal a gigabyte??
