You can search your C drive for the .PST file and copy it to the external disk as well. The .PST file is the file that contains the e-mail, contacts and calendar info.

c:/Documents and Settings/$USERNAME/Favorites <- those are your bookmarks, it will have a "star" next to it. PS - Plug in the name of the user you are logging in as into the $USERNAME PSS - Your PST file is in; C:\Documents and Settings\$USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook To get there, you have to view hidden files... that is under (in a My Computer window) Tools | Folder options | View tab, go under "Hidden files and folder" - check "Show hidden files and folders" - that will allow you to see the "Local Settings" folder under your username...

![]() Thank you! Yes, the GATEWAY is POS! DORS gave me this computer FREE because I was in college and DORS only gives out cheap POS computers. I figured since it have everything I needed to do my homework and attended my online classes, then it is good enough. ![]()

| Why don't you just rip out the old HD and toss it in the new computer?

I am planning to wipe the hard drive clean and start over. That's another reason why I need to save all of my files onto the external hard drive, so I can transfer them.
