I worked on the navigation computers for Washington class ballistic subs. They had a drum memory about 10" in diameter and 18" high.
Capacity - 1 meg

There's one out there, has the Gov't security people scared fecal matterless. If I remember right, it is 250GB. Had a conversation with a computer guy back in February about it, so I may be remembering the size wrong.

I have a 1 terabyte external hard drive, about the size of a grocery store paper back. It's semi-portable but heavy as crap. I'm expecting Christmas to be memory-happy this year...
