I am looking at Sony Vaio's. Have you had any experiences with these and were they good or bad?

That's what I have now - good machine - just DON'T get it with Vista.

You can now but when I got mine, it wasn't an option.

Kewl! I am reading reviews on the VGN-AR770. Things are not looking to good. I sure don't want to get stuck with another POS like this XPS! I will NEVER buy another Dell as long as I live. This is the second XPS they have sent me and it's starting to fall apart too and it's not even 6 months old!

We mostly buy Dell's here, BUT there are a few Sony Vaio's and I really like them. I think out of the 10 or so floating around there has been zero failures, even with the oldest which is about 3 - 4 years old.

I would own one.

Sorry, no experience at all with Sonys. I've never owned one, and my company doesn't use them.
