Police Search For 2 Men Who Fled Shooting In Comcast Van

SUITLAND, Md. -- Prince George's County police said they are searching for two men who allegedly fled a shooting scene in a Comcast van.

Officer Henry Tippett said police received a call early Wednesday from a Suitland man who said he'd been shot in his upper body by two men who broke into his apartment in the 5600 block of Regency Park Court and demanded money.

The victim was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. It is unclear if he was targeted.

Tippett said the two suspects appeared to be wearing Comcast uniforms and traveling in a white van with the cable company's name.

Officials haven't determined whether the men are employees of Comcast. Calls to Comcast officials weren't immediately returned.

Last Tuesday, a Comcast cable bucket truck was carjacked by two men suspected of fatally shooting a Silver Spring man during a robbery. The truck was found, but the search continues for the two men. Police said they do not believe the incidents are related.
