My co-worker swears by it! I think that cost is a little low for everything unless it's for a few months. She has the internet/tv package (with DVR and HD) and she pays 135.00 a month.

Hope that helps!

I was told that the phone, dsl, cable for $100 is for a certain time period and then the price goes up. I'd check into that.

I thinks Charles and St. Marys are going to get in sometime in the 2009 time frame with Calvert sometime in late 2009 and early 2010. My friend is a Fios tech and has told me that it is pretty awsome! It will blow your cable modem out of the water with the speeds that they can provide.

Actually La Plata and Waldorf will have FiOS in August/September of this year. The equipment has been in place for quite sometime but its been a matter of agreeing to the language in the franchise agreement and based on the last meeting in should be done this month.

Indian Head and Tompkinsville (Swan Point) will be early 2009. Confirmed.

No plans for FiOS in either St. Mary's or Calvert through the first half of 2009. Second half plans are not finaliuzed so there is still hope there.

Perfect timing for Charles though......Additional HD channels will be launched in July. Expanding there line up to nearly 70 HD channels with plans to expand to 150 by the end of the year.

option to get a 50/20 service tier.....20/20 symmetrical.......I can only hope one day I can see that!

What's your take on Verizon possibly bidding for the Charles County cable franchise? Or, is Verizon just another alternative for some areas of the county?
