Quoting threads and replying

Not sure if this is related to Firefox 3 (since it started after I upgraded) or not ... but when I quote a post, and go to type my reply, it puts my text above the quoted post, and doesn't let me move it down below the quoted post. Also, my cursor is staying blinking where I last clicked, even though I'm typing 3 lines below that spot. WTH?

I'm using FireFox v3 on XP and haven't seen that. Seems to post/reply like usual.

I was having that problem yesterday. I refreshed the page and problem solved.

I'd blame vista, if you have it. I have been having all sorts of problems with it lately, one of which was it was crashing when it tried to download the fix for the problem.

The fix finally downloaded last night after almost a month of trying and so far, the obvious problems are gone.

Check your Live Updates and see if there is a "fix" sitting there waiting to be downloaded.

Live Updates is for Symantec AV. You mean windows Update or Microsoft Update ?

Oh, just thought... is that new to Vista? I'm not running it, haven't had the pleasure.

I've been having the same problems since FF3 - any formatting is screwed up, too. Still better than internet exploder.

I have both and was having trouble with both. I was getting a message about Microsoft Windows updates having a problem and quitting and the Symantec wasn't updating either. The virus definitions were out of date, but I was also having problems with Microsoft applications like Windows Gallery picture viewer and other programs that have .dll files.

I went looking yesterday for what was causing my problems and found that both Windows updates and Symantec updates had been failing to load. It took me most of the day, but I finally got them both to update sometime in the middle of last night.

No. I did run adaware though and it detected/cleaned some junk, and now it's working ok. Gonna reboot to be safe.
