Windows XP Update vs. Zone Alarm!

OK - The latest Windows Update (KB951748) causes ZoneAlarm to block all incoming exchanges. In otherwords - you are off-the-air! ZoneAlarm is aware of this and suggested uninstalling KB951748 until they provide a update. The only way around it is to lower your Internet Zone Security settings to Medium.

It just doesn't get any better then this!

This is really a major screwup! There are now thousands of ZoneAlarm users who can't figure out what happened. They are calling their ISPs, etc. trying to figure it out. Even if ZoneAlarm or Microsoft come out with a fix - it does no good until those users dead in the water figure it out. Unreal!

Talking Fix!

UPDATE

Jump over to ZoneAlarm SmartDefense Research Center and download the appropriate fix. I just ran it and then reloaded KB951748 (via Microsoft Updates) and life is normal.
