its not fancy, does not have a choice of voices or bluetooth ability, but for navigating it is right on. while traveling you can tell it to find the nearest place to eat or shop whatever and it will come up with a list of places and the distance, then you just tell it to go there as a way point and it brings you right to the place. We used it in Billings Montana to find a grocery store, we wanted one close to the interstate we were on and it sent us right to one about 1 mile from the exit.

| I have a Garmin and although I love it, sometimes it wants to take me in weird directions. I have found that it likes certain highways and tries its best to get me to follow them, even if it's out of the way. I'm not sure why, I haven't even had it a year. ![]()

| No matter which GPS you settle on, ensure it will give voice directions that say the street names vise just "Turn left in 100 feet." This will allow you to watch the road and listen to the GPS. Doesn't apply much around here, but if you ever drive thru a downtown area it will prove VERY useful. The people in the crosswalks will thank you! I have an older TomTom 910 and really like it. The Nuvi always gets great reviews. WATCH TWiT Live TWiT Live - Live Netcasts from TWiT with Leo Laporte and Friends |
