Probably no ready made CDs...you might want to try this site and make your own CD.

TuneFind - Find Music from TV and Movies

I hear so many good tunes on the shows I wish they would just have a special list in the credits at the end of the show so I knew the song name and the artists.

Maybe what you need is a DVD recorder. This unit acts as a DVD player, digital tuner, and DVD recorder. Here it is from the Panasonic site, but I found it for cheaper at Buy.com

I recorded one of the cable music channels to my DVD player and the laptop recognizes it as a movie and not songs so I'm unable to make cd's from it. Is there a solution or should I just give up? thanks

So you want to extract the audio from a DVD movie file. Of course this is possible, but you'll have to research what software package(s) do that. Some sort of movie editing software, I imaging, could make quick work of that. But I've never tried anything like that myself. Maybe somebody here is a digital A/V geek, but there are also forums that are a bit more specific to that area.

Sorry I'm of little help here.

Get something like this Behringer UCA-202 2 I/O USB Audio Interface -  USB Audio Interfaces#-# Audio Interfaces / Recording Systems#-# Studio & Recording#-# PSSL.com Most of the major Pro Audio companies have something like it. (this was the first one I found a link to) Record on to your computer, burn it to disk.
