Browser for Blackberry?

Can anyone recommend a browser change or update for my 8830 Crackberry that will work with SOMD and Comcast? I have all options turned on with the provided browser and it still has problem with inline frames...

thanks
bob

I have a brand new Blackberry and still have problems with inline frames.

Not sure if there is a fix or not.

My BB browser works fine with the wireless version of somd.

Lots of people like Opera Mini and I hear that Firefox is working on one...

I have played around a bit, and these are the settings I prefer for my CrackBerry 8830 settings - I use the standard BlackBerry Browser - no add-in.

Forums.SOMD.com display fine - not sure about Comcast.Net - some framed pages still get a bit dicked up, but I deal with it as I know what I need to get.

BTW - Google Maps now use the embedded GPS in the Verizon BlackBerry's.

Browser Config -
  • All items checked EXCEPT for Support JavaScript and Support Embedded media
  • Show Images: On WML & HTML Pages
  • Emulation Mode - BlackBerry

General Properties -
Everything in here is what you want them to be (font, font size...) I will give you my settings;
  • Default Font Family - BBAlpha Sans
  • Default Font Size - 8
  • Min Fint Size - 6
  • Min font Style - Plain

Here is what I customized;
  • Default View - Column
  • Enable Cursor in Column View - CHECKED
  • Everything else below the above is unchecked, EXCEPT for Closing Modified Pages (that is checked)

Cache Properties -

I left mine alone...

Actually, it doesn't...at least, not on the Storm. It uses triangulation from cell towers. It gets a pretty good fix, but not a GPS quality fix.
