Monitor calibration - i1 Display 2

I tried to calibrate my new monitor with my i1 Display 2 colorimeter and something is not working properly.

I installed the software. Rebooted.

I plugged the device into a USB port (have 2, tried both). Computer beeps - new hardware found.

Then I start the Match profiling program and it says device not found.

Unplugged, replugged, no go. Shouldn't be a driver thing, I would think. Anyone else have this sort of problem? Seems like it ought to be a simple enough solution.
