| 3 Dimensional HDTV? The HDTV industry will soon be marketing 3D TV sets. ESPN is talking about broadcasting soccer games and DirecTV is looking at adding 3D programming to it's schedule, in late spring or early summer. Whatcha think? Are you ready for this one? |

| I've been waiting to upgrade my TV because I knew this was coming in the future.

| My Sony LED is very much 3D looking. At first it was very unusual and "different." Now that I'm used to it, it doesn't really phase me.

| Admit it, you like the carboard glasses with the different colored lenses though, don't you?

| You have to wear 3D glasses to realise the effect on your HDTV - they mentioned too. I don't know about that one. Oh yeah, they will cost you some extra dough, as they will not arrive with your new 3D TV....... |

| I wouldn't be too excited. From what I've read, you'll still need those funky glasses to experience 3D. Once they can do true 3D, then you're talking.

| I'm guessing it has to do with the way it is set up to stretch images to fit the screen. Mine has a setting where it stretches the image more towards the sides and less in the center. It does give it a 3D feel. I tried it that way and didn't like it. I have it set to stretch the image evenly.

| With my plasma HDTV, there seems to be a pretty good sense of depth perception, meaning you can distinctly recognize objects in the background, that are farther away from the camera. They are still clear. Isn't that one of the virtues of 3D television? |
