What you might try is selecting one of the pre-configs. There are usually a bunch like sports, movie, games, etc... and they change certain atrributes to make it look better.

Oh, did you use an HDMI cable from your TIVO to the TV? I'll bet it will improve the pic.

Dynamic (fixed) was pretty good but I went into "user" and increased the backlight, brightness & sharpness. Gotta pretty denect pic now. Haven't tried the HDMI cables yet.

One of the things I cannot complain about with the Plasma. We looked at every store that carried TV's and the plasma always had more vibrant colors, more life like images and cheaper. The LED's ones are nice, but I would still buy a plasma if I had to replace the current one.

Baja, a bit of topic, where did you get the short sliding window blinds. Lowes wanted me to pay $85 and then have them cut the blinds shorter. Wondering if you found them in that length.

I've never had a TV die until it was 10+ years, so I tossed the receipt. My bad.
Well, this is interesting....

This 32" LCD would not work, so I left it unplugged while I shopped around for a replacement. Figured I'd wait until after the holiday and prices dropped. Left it unplugged for weeks.

For kicks and giggles I plugged it in this morning, and it works fine. Go figure. Glad I procrastinated!

FYI if you have cable (standard cable) the HD network stations are in the signal for free, Metrocast just doesnt tell you that.

They start at something like 101-002 and go up to about 105-002 use your find chanels feature to find them.

SD channels are going to suck on a widescreen because the signal is also stretched out, so your picture will suck.

Yep, and they still look pretty good. My only complaint is that no one has a channel list. Maybe when I am bored one morning I will make a list to help myself and maybe others out. Drives me nuts trying to find a specific channel and having to cycle through to find something. Only ones I remember are Discovery which is 83-2 and A&E which is 83-3.
