Gotcha, so screen quality is still as good, just that it's like everything else in the world, bigger means more $$...

If you are willing to spend $800 on a laptop, might as well get a Mac. I've preached on here many times how much I love mine. I was a Dell user before and although I love them, they don't last as long and always get viruses. No viruses with Macs.

So I asked 2 people I was around last night about a Mac... both said they were good, they liked them, etc...

But, neither could answer me about the 'no viruses' deal... So, why is that? The sites I go to 99% of the time I normally don't foresee getting a virus from, but that still isn't a garauntee.

Windows has market share still, viruses tend to be built for the larger market share. There are Mac viruses though. Mostly because of JAVA. Don't install JAVA and you will be better protected on either OS.

If you are not producing and nearly consuming get a tablet.

Where are you getting an $800 Mac laptop? The cheapest one on their website is $1000.

You're right. I said "if you're willing to spend $800" might as well go with a Mac. It's only a few bucks more.

There are fewer Mac owners, so hackers tend to focus their energy elsewhere.

Spend a few more bucks and get a business class laptop

Dell - Latitude

HP -

• HP EliteBook 2170p Notebook PC
• HP EliteBook 2570p Notebook PC
• HP EliteBook 8570p Notebook PC

IMHO they seem a little better engineered than el cheapo Best Buy Models
