If only certain channels are out and others are fine you need to get on the horn to Metrocast. There's nothing wrong with your TV. This have been a PSA. Thank you.

We don't have television here. Only internet. We watch everything the day after, online. I'd call them because it sounds like their local feed is messed up.

I fixed it!

Well I was actually the one who messed it up to begin with...

About 2 weeks ago, I found a short piece of coax with factory connectors. I figured it was better than my home made piece I was using so I swapped them. I just switched back to my piece and guess what? No more diagonal lines.

Good fix Baja. I probably would not have thought of that, because you stated all the other channels were fine.

Must be something with the lower frequency band that piece of cable didn't like. I'm happy it's clear since that is my Daytona 500 channel!

Cheap factory ones only have about 35% shielding, regular RG-6 cable is usually closer to 90% shielded. You could have been picking up television power supply noise through the leaky shielding.

Watch the HD versions
4 = 101-2
5 = 105-3
6 = 123-4
7 = 102-4
9 = 101-3
