I think the digital drive bay (digital media on mine) is for those little disks that you can put in your digital camera and whatnot to transfer images and crap. Not sure about the others.

Mine is an HP pavilion zd7310us so it's probably pretty similar. And if I remember correctly, wasn't your other one like mine?

Wanna hear something really funny - Asshat was over fixing MY computer and I asked him if he thought it would be worth fixed HS's smached laptop (I pulled it outta the trash after he threw his tissy fit without him knowing) Asshat told me that all it probably needed was a new keyboard - I looked up the price of a new one for it - 80 bucks. Of course this was about 3 days AFTER HS bought a new fancy smancy laptop with all these bells and whistle he doesn't even know what they are for

> i have a PC card slot.....(what does this do)?

You plug PC Cards (PCMCIA) into it. They're about the size of a stack of 5 credit cards. They can be just about anything (network, wireless, even memory drives) given that its a new laptop, you'll probably never use it because everything is already built in.

> i have an Express card slot....(what does this do)?

Same idea, different format. If you don't go buy any express cards, you'll never need to bother with it.

> i have a digital drive bay.....(what does this do)?

Not sure, you could be talking about a drive slot for a CD/DVD system. They hot-plug into the laptop, so if you need the dvd player, you unplug the floppy or whatever and plug in the DVD. Again, I'm not sure what you're describing with this one.
