Everything has went to 13 seer A/C or heat pump. My husband is a HVAC-r mechanic with a Master's restricted license. He is insured as well. He has been in the trade for 17 plus years. While we don't do financing we don't charge anywhere near what the big companies charge.Since they try to sell you Lennox,Carrier,Rheem Rudd etc. Names brands that cost more and do the same as some of the other brands. We deal with Ducane and Armstrong which by the way is owned by Lennox. They come off the same line it's the nameplate you pay for. Our last job we did for a furnace with a/c wasn't even close to as one person paid 4500. and we installed a 2 ton a/c unit. I know he could keep it below that 4500 easily unless you need to have other things repaired. Ice Man and Son

Why don't you advertise in the phonebook instead of trying to fool all of these people into believeing what you say, because when someone does a search on hvac you have posted on every thread. After seeing this I started asking around about him and they all said the same thing. Anyone notice the trend of ICeman and Sons spamming all of the hvac threads? Pm me if you want to know what I heard from respectable contractors and clients who know of this company.
I heard that IAP was hands down the elite of all the technicians around here, dc and metro area, but If that were the case then why would you have your own business? And If you had your own business then why would you still be working for another company? Something doesn't fit the bill....Just curious. And why can't you give an exact amount of experiece in the trade, you say 17 plus years? What is that? I know for a fact how long Iv'e been a manager! I don't need to say "give or take a few years." This is a true sign of shadyness! And I also know that you get what you pay for, so if someone is so cheap on prices then so must be the work?

The thing about going with someone who runs their own business is what happens when they don't run it anymore? What happens if you get hit by a bus is what we always say at work if it seems like only one person knows how to do a particular task. Same thing here. I have a 10yr parts and labor warranty that is good with anyone certified to work on a Trane. You can't beat that for $500!

Well when I said 17 plus years I said that because he has been on base 18 years and worked for his father before then. He is a 3 rd generation mechanic. Actually as of this year we became a Rheem dealer because we found that they really don't cost as much more as the Ducane's and there isn't any local Dealer's. We have been in business for 7 years and all of our customer's have came by word of mouth. Why do you feel you need to say we are a shady business.Have you ever tried advertising in the yellow pages.Or even know the cost. Better business bureau is like 300-400 to advertise with them.
Someone needs to get facts straight before slamming someone. I don't come to your job and trash you .I don't know you. We are happy with the business we have.

Ditto. T.N. Bowes is awesome. Installed an oil-fired boiler for me last year. Were actually cheaper and definitely more professional than Besche. Let the oil companies sell you oil. That's what they're good at.
