That's a great example of why they offer test rests and that these beds aren't for everyone!

If you use a good quality, high thread count cotton sheet set, the memory foam is not as warm as when you use cheap sheets

If you have allergies, memory foam does not support dust mite life

I would never pay the price for the name tempurpedic. My foam set up can be adjusted for firmness, others can't

All memory foam is not the same firmness. I have great pillows but have tried others that were too hard or too low when slept on

You may have already mentioned this, so I apologize if this is a repeat. What kind of foam set-up do you have? We're looking for something that is a little more firm than the double pillow top we have now.

I have a 7 inch memory foam and 2 inch topper. One side is flat and one side is sculpted on the topper. It used to be called Body Zone but they had to change the name. I think it is now Memory Zone.

And no Patch-ouli, just because I didn't buy Tempurpedic doesn't mean I got crap. This mattress was sold at local stores. I got my sheets at Kohl's.

google sleep number bed and go to some of the websites that discuss this bed. i wish i had done that before i spent $2700!
My SIL has had the same problems. She has actually had to send hers back several times for replacement. Problem is, she has to pay for the shipping both ways. I'll stick with my waterbed.

I've been researching these and other beds the past two years. We've purchased three mattresses in the past five years as I've been trying to find one that doesn't hurt my back. With regard to Select Comfort beds, here's what I learned:
1) QVC sells the Select Comfort mattresses a lot cheaper than the storefronts do.
2) Comfortaire mattresses are a great alternative to Select Comfort. They're half the cost and made of the same material. I have one now and find them to be very good beds. Here's an epinions review Epinions.com - Compare Prices and Read Reviews on Comfortaire Cerulean Mattress at Epinions.com
Also unlike Select Comfort, Comfortaire also has favorable BBB ratings - which is what won me over.
