Time for a Nextel Upgrade
I'm due for a phone upgrade Dec. 1. Definately going with another flip-style w/blp-blp (vs. Sprint models). Any recommendations from other Nextel owners on what current phones are good/bad? The Razor is not an option; they're pieces of junk and not rugged enough for me. B/f has the 502 and it's good so far ... but figured I'd ping others for suggestions/feedback on their phones. TIA

my suggestion to you would be to get rid of Nexhell and go Verizon.

I've got the LG 9700 and LOVE it.. (VErizon EnV)

Can shoot an hour video.. limited web access for weather, headlines, hotmail and yahoo mail etc etc, .. IM (yahoo, MSN and AOL).. camera.. speaker phone.. full qwerty keyboard.. and sturdy enough to stand up to my use and abuse.

I would ditch Nextel, ever since Sprint took over, they call when your bill is paid and threatin to turn my phone off, I just switched to VERIZON and I love it............

If your contract is up then you need to google SERO. You will be amazed how much you can save. I just switched my GF to Sprint using SERO. Unlimited data, 500 anytime, unlimited weekends, mobile to mobile, $30 a month. Great deals on phones too. Enjoy!

Switching providers is not something I want to do; I'm just getting a new phone. Where I live, Nextel has great reception, and the b/f and I use the blp-blp fairly often while we travel. So I'm sticking with Nextel ... I don't have any problems with them whatsoever -- customer service, coverage, etc. ... all great in my experience. But I appreciate the feedback.

Ok....the 17 yr old has the new cross-over phone(sprint technology with the blip/blip thiny)....he likes it a lot and it's VERY durable!...the only problem that I saw with it is that "apparently" they have to hand-set all the technology inside the phone and it took 4 weeks to get here(not sure if this still happens)

Girl has the i850 and that one has issues....when the battery gets a little low or you put it on a charger for longer than you have to to charge it, it will shut the phone off completely and continue to shut it off till you put it on a charger....this happens no matter what you are doing with the phone(texting, answering a call, trying to call out, putting it in your pocket, etc)

The guy I contract for has the i930 and he has the same problems as my girl....both of those phones aren't really that durable either
