Well That is not a picture of a Thermos. A thermos offers insulating qualities.

Noun

thermos (plural thermoses)

a domestic vacuum flask used to maintain the temperature of hot or cold drinks

That my friend is a water bottle. I will carry one of those. I am just not going to carry the stainless steel insulated thermos with my detachable cup all day long.

A water/sports bottle is fine with me.

But what happens when I run out of water when I am on the road or out somewhere? I would have to buy a bottle of water and pour it into my water bottle. So whats the point? Am I supposed to get a travel Brita as well? I will need a man purse just to carry it all.

When you sneeze do you ask for a "facial tissue" as well?

No. I said Brita filtered water because snobs act like they are too good to drink from a water fountain or a sink.

I buy the tall bottles with the sport top that pops up. When empty I refill them from the filtered water tap on my fridge. I reuse them over and over, when they get too battered I recycle them. Cost effective and has minimal impact on the landfill. Hubby brings them to the gym and just brings the empty bottle home with him.

I buy bottled water all the time. It's convenient and quick to grab out of the fridge. I take one bottle to work with me each day and fill it up a few times via the kitchen faucet. I don't resuse them for several days because they can get germy. Ewww!

I agree with Chasey. Grab and go. I would recycle them if it was easier. But it is not very easy around here to recycle. Most places have a single stream recycling system in place. Where you can put all of your recyclables (is that a word?) in one container and put it out with your regular trash. Then they take it and sort it and recycle it.

I can't even remember to put out my trash on the right days. Then you want me to sort and separate items and put them out on another day?
