Nextel Users (Current and Old)

Yesterday my Nextel i530 (I know its a old phone) took a plunge into the washing machine, my fault forgot to check all my pockets when my better half was doing the laundry, well its now dead in the water (no pun intended).
The sim card is still good, so I switched phones with my wife, took out her sim card and replaced it with mine, I use my cell alot more then she uses her. I was just wondering if anyone who has Nextel or who did at one time and upgraded to a another phone or another service has a old i530 that maybe they would like to part with, maybe we can work something out. I only need the phone not the sim card, Nextel does not make the i530 anymore, I could upgrade the phone but Nextel with all their different offers on their phones want a 2 year agreement.

I have one I could part with. Nothing wrong with it. I used it for work and I had to turn in my sim card back to the company before I quit. Let me know...

Thanks sunman, but we have come up with a phone, son had a old i830 that wasn't being used and it appears to be working fine with the wifes simcard.

Did you try the phone to see if it still works? I took mine swimming once and I took the battery off and opened it up and let it dry out for a couple days.. put it back together and it still worked !

No did not check think the wife may have already thrown it out.

That happened to my $500 scanner once, not swimming pool, but one night we were out driving somewhere and the spouse brought along a big cup of water, my portable scanner goes everywhere with me and I usually place it in the cup holder in the center console, well it was dark and I had it sitting someplace else and I picked it up and put it where I normally place it, in the cup holder well the cup of water was there and we didn't realize it was in the cup of water till she went to get a drink. It wasnt doing anything when I got home I took out the battery cover and water came out, thought I was out 500 bucks, but in about 2 days it started working again and appears to be fine that was about 4 months ago.
