Same here! And NP, my dog attacked the hell of out it. The first time he bit the Dyson, I think it hurt him and he stopped.

Personally, I think the Oreck is cheaply made. I could be Consumer Report's tester for vacuum cleaners. For a vacuum to last 2 years in MY house, it has to be good. My Dyson is going on 4.
