| That's what the wife does and then switches to another 0 when that one runs out. I don't like all the screwin' around so just stick to the low one with CPCU as a back up. |

| It REALLY doesn't matter what the APR is, if you pay it off every month. I just have the CPFCU card, and the amount of interest I have paid is negligible because I pay it off. Find a card that has a grace period and no penalties.

Cowgirl? Unless you you have excellent credit I don't know what to tell you. Chase, Bank America and USAA have been good companies for me (with no annual fees) and I will pay a max of 1.99% interest on a balance. If you have the credit it's easy to swap balances around. I did it with a home addition (40K) and to pay off an auto loan (30K) USAA is my favorite and pays me to use them. If you have any military ties you can qualify for their card. I paid them $0 last year and I received a $300 credit on my card because I use it for EVERYTHING. If I carried a balance on the card it would be 7.9%. Discover was another card I had. They also gave me a rebate, and I carried balances on the card (at 0%) for at least a year (balance transfers)

| See, that's the thing. I have been credit card free for several years now. I just want to get one that I can charge a little on every month and pay it right off....something to help build my credit.

USAA is the best (IMO) if you have a military link. If not, Discover is also very good. DH got a Capitol One (he declared bankruptcy years ago) He had to pay the annual fee, but it did re-establish his credit. He still uses that credit card, but the annual fee is gone (after mucho years) and he pays it off each month. His credit is now considered "excellent".

| I like my Chase card. I started out at 7.9% and that was years ago. It has gone up a little to 9.9% but that isn't bad.

But you are talking to idiots here. People who think, if they have credit they can spend and buy whatever they want, not thinking about the outcome.
