Landscaping Scam

This is my very first post in any of the SOMD.com forums, but have been lurking for quite some time now, its good to be here :)

Anyway, i wanted to warn people in the Indian Head/Accokeek/Bryans Road/Waldorf areas about a small landscaping company who took our $$ and ran. And after doing a BBB search on him that came up with nothing, there were other companies with similar names, so i started browsing them, seems this guy had changed his business name a while back, but kept the same address and phone contact information.

Below is what he is going by now

Big Ron's Creative Landscaping - based out of Marbury MD

Found him (in the past) to be using the company name of Lee's creative landscaping, based out of Marbury as well with the same address and phone #!!! The BBB had 5 complaints listed on this jerk under the Lee's Creative Landscaping name.

SO IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A LANDSCAPER IN THE SOMD AREAS I LISTED ABOVE, TELL HIM TO ESAD!!

So now we have to goto the charles county government and file a civil suit against this fkr to get our $$ back, or try to anyway, and we have filed a complain against him with the BBB. I wont go into how much he got from us, but it was a substantial ammount :( We usually check every company out before giving them ANY $$$, but this guy seemed genuine and friendly, boy were we wrong, ughh

Anyone else run into this jerk?

And after reading some of the other replies in this thread now, it seems most of you are the same way. I was only trying to warn people of this ahole landscaper, and i get a bunch of smart arse remarks.

what exactly did he do .... just a bad job or nothing at all?

usually you don't pay for things like that until the job is done.

He asked for ½ of the proposal up front, once that check cleared he started doing some work, like pulling old dead bushes and what not, then never
returned after doing that. The job is 5% complete.
Have called him numerous times and he wont return any voice mails.
