I had to buy the separate cutter for $9.95. My scissor cuts came out as triangles.

The first time I used it for this I just used the "seal" option. Left enough room for the sauce to expand as it froze. This last time I wasn't paying attention and just used it like always and it worked just fine.

You definitely have to pre-freeze the hamburgers or you wind up with large meatballs instead.
