I get what you're saying. You're just wrong. Although the majority of our values come from basic common sense and human decency, religion still does have a strong influence in some of the less common values. There are certain personal values I hold that I would not have had I been of a different faith, and even more had I been of no faith, while most I would still have regardless. Those few that are derived solely from my religion could conflict with the beliefs of other faiths, which wouldn't be a problem in a fairly casual relationship, but could throw a wrench in an intimate one.

And so religion dictates morals rather than the individual constantly making a choice to keep those values? If that was the case religious, immoral people wouldn't exist.

No, the individual makes the choice to keep those values. The OP is merely looking for other people making more similar choices in values.

Let's say 95% of our values come from common sense and real life experience, and 5% come from religion. That 5% could contain a lot of things that could cause great conflict with people of different belief systems in an intimate relationship--premarital sex and living together, abortion, birth-control, church-going, child-rearing, divorce, pre-nuptuals, etc--many of which are controversial issues that generate strong feelings in people.
