Now I will say that I've met plenty of men that were quite attractive off the get but after getting to know them I was so turned off by thier personalities that I no longer saw them as physically attractive. And the opposite is true; I've found myself more physically attracted to some I thought were just decent looking because they had a good personality.

Like it or not ladies, our attraction thermometer is directly connected to our feelings.
Excellent post!!!

Here is a thought I'm just gonna throw out....Perhaps these attractive women that other people see, don't see themselves as attractive and therefore feel that maybe they aren't good enough for an attractive man. A less attractive man may seem safer.

How fortunate for me that the Pan Lady does not think this way...

Doesn't everyone? And that's not shallow. How are you supposed to date someone you don't find attractive?

But back to the article...I love how she uses fictional television characters to use for comparison.

Right!

Pixie made a good point, but the fact is that if he's missing a bunch of teeth, is dirty, has a big huge wart on his face and drools, he can be the most charming guy on the planet but you're never going to get close enough to know that.

When I think of an *ugly* guy, I'm not picturing Tom Arnold. I picture the homeless guy on the corner panhandling quarters. Ick. Ugly.

Well, at least I know where I stand. Might as well head back to my moss-laden tree stump under the bridge.

I really don't want to know how charming the corner bum is I'll take the nice guy and I see lots of different physical attraction traits in different men. For one it might be their eyes, for another their smile...etc.
