Places in SOMD for outside Wedding?

Hello!

I just recently got engaged & now I am starting the plan the big day! We have decided on a outside wedding (not in a church) but I am not sure the different places in SOMD where you can get married outside and have a view of the water. My dream would be to get married on the top of a hill/cliff and have the water infront of us. Any ideas of places I can check out?

Jefferson Patterson Park in Calvert County. It overlooks the Patuxent river. That's where my wife and I got married.

Thanks! I will look and see if I can get some pics online of it. I would like to stay in St. Marys if possible though but if it is completely breathing then I can always change my mind.

Chesapeake Beach Resort and Spa is a beautiful place, you can get married right on the beach!

The State House at Historic St. Mary's City has a large lawn behind it overlooking St. Mary's River. It is a very pretty spot to hold a wedding. Rentals
Also right nearby is the Garden of Remembrance of St. Mary's College Image:Garden of remembrance.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It has a trellis space that opens out over the same river {it is upstream maybe a hundred yards or so} but FYI on that spot, they do not rent out the space while school is in session, but it would be perfect if you want a summer wedding, but get in ASAP as I found out the hard way the available weekends go fast. Also on the SMC campus is a lawn right next to the Alumni house, and it is right next to the rose garden. It is a little more flexible than the garden itself.

Good luck finding a place! and congrats
