Let me tell you about my weekend

I decided to take my girl friend to a jewley store last Friday evening.

I told the jeweler I was looking for a special ring for my girlfriend. The jeweler looked through his stock and brought out a $5,000 ring. I said, 'No, and that I would like to see something more special.'

At that statement, the jeweler went to his special stock and brought another ring over. "Here's a stunning ring at only $40,000"

My girlfriend eyes sparkled and her whole body trembled with excitement. I said, "We'll take it."

The jeweler asked how payment would be made and I said, "By check". I knew he'd need to know that the check was good, so I told him I'd write it now, and you can call the bank Monday to verify the funds and I'll pick the ring up Monday afternoon.

Monday morning, the jeweler called the house and said "There's not enough money in that account. ''I know" was my repley, "But let me tell you about my weekend!"
