Marriage; 60 year old and 27 year old...

Can it work?

Apparently not. Billy Joel is...moving out, he and wife are calling it quits.

I wonder why it didn't work?

I glanced at a picture of them this morning, not reading what the article was about. I thought she was his daughter with Christie Brinkley. I guess not! When I was about 25 yrs old, I had this 40-something guy try to pick me up. I was grossed out by the whole ordeal. I can't imagine being attracted to somebody 20 yrs older than me, let alone 30+ yrs. It's bad enough my husband is an old fart with only 6 1/2 yrs on me.

OK, truth time: How would you have felt if the 40 something was Billy Joel or :insert rich star of your choice here:

Well?

Well, I guess it would make a difference if I was only in it for the money but he would have to be a really hot 40 something because I'd probably be ing during sex if he wasn't. Billy Joel doesn't fit that bill but maybe if he was Tim McGraw

Yeah she had charm

that's what got me down the aisle
But that match made in heaven
Went straight to hell
Split up our possessions
Put the house up for sale
And I learned a lesson I won't be for getting
The next time around

I'm gonna marry for money
I'll be so damn rich it ain't funny
I'm gonna have me a trust fund, yacht club, hot tub piece of the pie
Find me a sweet sugar mama
With a whole lot of zeros and commas
Don't really care if she loves me
She can even be ugly
I'm gonna marry for money

I won't have to love her family
I won't have to like her friends
and if it works out like I planned it,
I won't ever have to work again

Repeat Chorus

Solo

Y'all I'm gonna fly to Hawaii
On a Leer Jet the old lady buys me
I'll call her sweet heart & honey if she's a hundred and twenty
I'm gonna marry for money...
I dont care if she loves me
She can be really ugly
I'm gonna marry for money

Oh, cha-ching mucho deniro

Now you've opened up an interesting topic. Are men and women pretty much equally capable of marrying for money?

I don't see why not. Maybe for different reasons. Unless the woman is just in it for the ability to say that she's dating so-n-so, I believe that money offers stability and security to women. I can't say why men would marry for money.

They lived together instead of in seperate households.

Same reasons I would suspect.

Billy Joel is a psycho and substance abuser. Katie was a nobody whose 15 minutes are just about over - her cooking shows suck and she's not particularly talented.

But to hell with them. Let's talk some more about how gays are bastardizing the sanctity of marriage and causing instability.
