Research by an acclaimed US psychologist suggests that 80 per cent of men who are homophobic have secret homosexual feelings.

This finding lends scientific support to the long-standing speculation that those who shout the loudest against homosexuality have something to hide.

I wonder if there is any other physiological explanation besides arousal. It doesn't say how much enlargement is considered arousal.

Could be many scientific reasons why a man would show signs of enlargement when looking at homo-pornography. My hypothesis is that when a man feels demasculinated (is that a word?), as he might when looking at this stuff, his physiological response may be to make himself appear larger, thus making him appear more masculine.

I could also be possible that they were measuring normal fluctuations in a man's size. From experience, I can tell you that a man's stuff moves around a lot during the day, and based on temperature, movements, and other factors, over the course of several minutes I'd have no doubt that some of the mens' sizes probably fluctuated.

Just a hypothesis. Interesting study though.
I think they need more data to verify though. I think it's quite possible that some of these homophobes are closet homosexuals, but I think the conclusion that this study draws is a rush to judgement, at least based on what was presented in the article.

I think all human beings become sexually aroused when viewing any kind of pornography, straight or not. Could be what they're seeing or they could be applying what they see to a different scenario.
