If someone wants to get to a point faster it takes more than dieting, but I think for most people dieting is the toughest part. For me:

Workouts: 10%
Cardio: 10%
Diet: 90% (add the extra 10% because it gets tough)
And for me, working out is the hardest thing. I could totally go home every evening and sit on my butt this time of year but over the summer when I'm out with friends doing water stuff.... it shows... I have to FORCE myself to work out.

Now as far as eating, I'm the master at starving myself which is why I have had issues dropping weight in the past. I have really messed up my metabolism in the process. Recently, I was encouraged to increase my calories 250 per day after my logs showed I wasn't eating enough. I am also to eat more frequently and that I find is a struggle. It seems strange to eat when you are not hungry. I'm 31 lbs. to goal (my goal) and 16 for my doctor's goal. I'll get there... in the 10-11 months I've been working towards my goal, I have not given up... not even a little bit. I'm not going out with my friends next summer and looking like the fat friend.

Good for you to stick with it. The wife and I started at the gym a little over 3 months ago, along with changing our eating habits. I understand how hard it can be to stick with it. Its very easy to say I'm tired today so I'll skip the gym or eating that just this one time wont hurt me. Tehn one time turns into 2 times and on from there. When I step on the scale each week it makes it all worth it.

My trainer told me yesterday that I was not taking in enough calories and to eat more. It is weird to eat when your not hungry.

If eggs are bothering you switch to egg whites. It might be the yolk that is causing the gastro distress.

Have you been food allergy tested? You could be intolerant to things and not even know it.

I cut gluten/wheat out of my diet because of celiacs. I lost a ton of weight and my skin cleared up. When I slip up I do feel awful for like 3 days.

[QUOTE=stockgirl;4974416]Don't fill your plate. Just fill the center.[/

I used to eat with a kids plate. It helped with the portion control some. I actually bought a portion control thing from amazon that you put on your plate and it neatly portions out everything. I can't wait for it to come. For the month of December I am portioning out all my food and slowly omitting certain foods. I have so much box food I am not going to let it go to waste. I'll start taking away certain foods and replacing them. Hopefully by January I will be able to start with nothing but fresh veggies and yummy chicken breast! Make a grocery list and stick to it!
