| My 9 month old pup had a reaction from it - just last wk. I put it on him one morning, and by that evening, he was a little wobbly, a bit lethargic, just not himself, but still eating/drinking. The next day, he was still the same. I called my vet and called the company that makes ProMeris. The company said he must have ingested some of it, perhaps licked the spot on his back where the liquid had run down some. The company said they did alot of testing w/ ingestion, overdosage/etc, and the reaction normally lasted about 24-48 hours. I kept a close eye on him, and 2 days after application, he was back to normal. After a day and half after application, I could see he was doing better, was more active and not as loopy/wobbly. It was definitely scary, I think I'll be going back to Advantage/Frontline... |

| I know that most of these products are a nerve agent in a dilute amount. I perfer not to use them and go natural. There is a product called Filthy Animal that is a shampoo that is natural and will help prevent fleas and ticks. You can also use liquid Ivory soap the old style and spray it in the yard, but it must be reapplied after rain. Another product is D/E Demascus Earth - watch the grade you need to use food grade, not pool grade. There are lots of natural ways to fight the pests if you want to go natural. If I am going somewhere with my furry kids that I know is a prime area I will treat with frontline plus, but that is rare and only in the peek season. One of the reasons for the new products is that the pests are becoming ammune to the ones we use all the time. I am glad your baby is ok.

Also you can talk to your about using the lower end of the dose for the frontline or other topicals. They have ranges on the packages. Just throwing out a few ideas for you.

| promeris is the devil! seriously though it did the same to my dogs. lethargic, smells horrible, glassy eyed, throw-up, and makes a crust on the hair because you have to use so much of it. we have 3 dogs from tiny to big and all 3 had the bad reaction. similar reactions have been posted all around the web. i dont expect this to be on the market too much longer. i have 3 boxes (5 doses each) that I will be throwing away and were back to frontline.
