Hey Catt

How come Sasha isn't gaining weight

Thought she would after getting spayed.

I just give her dry Regular Beneful. Should I add some canned?

My boxer boy did not start "filling out" until he turned 3 and now he could probably afford to loose a few pound.

We are feeding Purina One for Weight Management right now and with the warmer weather coming he is able to get out more and run.

Change of subject..

Btw, I know how nutty you are about what types of food you feed your pups. I have always thought Beneful was a good natural dog food. I'm learning. I might be exercising them to much when I'm home? I take them out at least 4-5 times a day. I'm on an acre so they have room to run if you know what I mean. Anyway, I have an above ground marble fire pit. Her and Radar were racing around and she hit it full on with her right front leg at the corner. She yelped and stopped, with that leg lifted. She wouldn't walk, so I carried her in the house. She has been laying down since. Can I give her anything and see how she does during the night? You know the history of her front legs.

I would call the vet and ask them what to do or take her in and have it checked to make sure she didn't break it again.

I agree that you should take her to the vet. Koda (my boxer) ripped his ACL and had to have it repaired...we think it was stretched just from him running around doing his boxer burns and then it actually tore when another dog attacked him and he was running to get away. Their poor legs are so skinny and there is no meat to protect them...

Hope Sasha feels better soon!
