Sometimes, situations change. You have to give people the benefit of the doubt. At least they are trying to find it a loving home. The first dog we got as children was a pedigreed perfect English Bulldog, extremely healthy, because the owners could not spend the time necessary with it.

I was just pointing out the wording they used in their ad.

This is the dog thread, not the fight club. I see snotgirl is at it again, go play with her.

Geeez people, chill!

Did you have those beloved cats spayed or neutered before sending them into the world? That is really the important part. Did you think you were "getting rid" of these cats like an unwanted pimple or a weed? Or Did you give a crap where they went?

Realize most of us look at this as another possible BYB in the making if they get a "free" dog that someone is getting rid of and, oh by the way, it's not neutered.

Sounds like your situation was totally different.

I did get them spayed- all were females before I took them to their new homes. I did not think of it as getting rid of them. I had no choice. I could not take care of them anymore. It was a horrible agonizing decision, one that I have regretted many times over. I did not want to choose between them. I loved each and every one, but had to choose for my sanity. I found the best possible homes for them, and passed along their complete vet records.

Sounds like you are a responsible pet owner who did the right thing by her animals. I think you have nothing in common with the ad I posted.

Do you have a grill? Maybe the following weekend when I get back from travel we can do the "help the local rescue group" cookout. I'll provide the eats. Maybe take donations and give that to the Rescue Group of our choice

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm coming home late Friday or Saturday.

I should be able to attend Sunday.
