I can relate to that. I put in an application and was interested in two dogs from the same rescue and never got a response one way or another. After three weeks of waiting and calling my vet to see if anyone had inquired of my history, we went to a shelter and are now the proud owner of Britney our almost senior min pinscher or should I say she is the proud owner of us since she has completely taken over our house (but hates cats, and we have four) She is wonderful, and we wouldnt trade her for the world.Last edited by dawn : 04-10-2008 at 11:58 PM.

I understadn that you are trying to do a good thing, and actually if you are a registered with uncle sam as a "not for profit" business, i have no problem with you setting a small adoption fee as you see fit. the problem i have is with folks who love animals, adopt a bunch in and then basically sell them. keep em as pets and advertise them as give aways, taking in a nice 'adoption' fee. but like i said, if you offically have a not for profit going, good work and good for you.
