Have 2 friends with littermates...... just emailed them. So now I'm just waiting to get you the info.

Also have a friend that does Burner Rescue as well. Is that an option as well? Just want to offer all the help I can. (I'm in no way pushing you to rescue - ok)
To each their own... I have done both - purchased a dog and rescued dogs..... my purchase of a dog was for a specific purpose. I purchased a working dog to do a specific job.... I also got lucky that my rescue has the drive to work as well.

This is an interesting breed. Can I ask what has you drawn to them? The two Burners I know are the BEST!!!!!

Well, they are just beautiful, from puppy to senior. They have wonderful, engaging personalities. I have 2 bichons and a minpin, and from the description of berner personalities, they sound very bichon-like. love their people, happy dogs.

I'm a groomer (currently being a stay at home mom) so the hair will be fun for me. Plus dh has always wanted a large dog.

We're just starting our search for the right pup. We would like to start w/a puppy because we have young kids and I'd like them to "grow up" together. Plus the existing bichons and minpin would probably appreciate if it arrives at our home on the small side, so they can get used to his/her size as it grows LOL.

I've had plenty of training, as I assisted obed and agility classes in the past. And very excited :) about the possibility of a berner joining our family. Thanks for emailing your friend for me. :)

She was wondering when you are looking a getting a pup? You are going about this right way by looking for a reputable breeder. Listing to the woman I know that does the rescue it seem like most end up in the rescue because of health issues and because people didn't realize the cute puppy would grow up with the puppy mentality. They are very happy, energetic dogs that do require a great deal of care and responsibility. Being a large breed dog they do have their share of health issues and on of the most common is hip dysplasia.

Will get you more info when I chat with her.

They can have a lot of genetic issues so if purchasing a pup, please do your homework.
