I don't know, didn't ask! I'm sure it gets to be more acidic (sp?), once the stomach acids break it down. Maybe that's why?!?! Not to sure!

My dog used to eat the cat's poop as well as her own. We lived in Alaska and she would chow down on the frozen poop which we referred to as "poopcicles." She lived to be 16 so it obviously didn't hurt her but it was gross! Just love em anyway...
