What do you feed your dog? Often, dogs will eat their feces if they are malnutritioned.

Some dogs just do that. There is something that your vet can prescribe that makes his poo taste bad if it bothers you that much.

Whatever the cause of the behaviour it is often developed into a worse problem by the owner's response. For example their understandable dislike of their dog’s habit may cause them to rush out into their garden with spade in hand to clear up before their dog can eat what it has passed. From the dog's point of view this may look like competition and some become so determined to beat their owners to it they will eat what they have done as soon as they have done it.

It's actually fairly common and normal.

Sounds like he has been exposed to far too much main stream media...
All he wants to do is to do his part to save the planet by recycling.

Get a tube of YUCK form PetCo....add to his food, will make his feces taste nasty....habit will stop.
But also there is a chance of another problem with your dog...call your vet.

Poop has a lot of left over protein in it....perhaps you are not feeding your dog enough......

My dog was doing the same thing, and the Vet recommended mixing pineapples up in the food. For some reason they hate the smell, and will not
eat their poop! Hope this helps you!
