Experience with epliepsy? liver disease?

Can anyone recommend a vet that has experience with epilepsy and liver disease (possibly caused by phenobarbital)? We were using a local vet, but have lost confidence in them after they failed to test our dog for liver problems while being on phenobarbital, which is known to cause liver disease.

I would like to find an older, wiser vet that has extensive experience with epilespy.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I live in St. Mary's county and would be willing to drive to Annapolis or Baltimore if needed.

I am trying to find help for our 9 yr old mini schnauzer.
