Wow what a sad story about that pit. I am in the process of putting together a website to allow individuals to list their pets to re-home them to keep them out of shelters. It will be similar to Petfinder, only this site will be for NON-shelter & NON-rescue people. I want the website to be free-of-charge also - so I'll need to enlist the help of corporate sponsors and donations to cover the operating expenses.

I've already bought the domain name (CritterConnections.org ) but am seeking someone who knows how to setup that type of database to manage the information.

Many of the people I've met on here are inspiring, even more so when it comes to animals....you've all taught me a lot.

And I am constantly proud to call you my friends.

I have to disagree with you, there are alot of things that hurt worse than losing our furry friends, but losing them ranks pretty high.

Remax/Rick, I'm sorry for your loss. My pets have always been apart of my family and I miss them terribly when they pass. I'm glad Jack got to share your family.

I am so sorry. It is never an easy thing to lose a pet. They are part of your family. I hope you can find the comfort your heart needs in the memories you have of her.
