I just picked up a young looking female beagle. Looks to be purebred and very malnourished. It was in redgate area. I can post pictures once I get to a computer. I have an appointment for another dog at 3 so I'm taking her with me to get checked out and scanned for a chip.

Very friendly. She's had at least one litter.

I think I know of someone to foster her... till her home is found ..or she finds a home.

If you can not find someone to foster her I will do it. I can't stand to see all the beagles they send to the shelter, and you just know sooo many get put down and they are the bestest laziest loves.

Just got her checked out. Our vet thinks she had a litter in the past two weeks. She's coverd in fleas and was just given a pill to kill the live ones in 24 hours. Well give her a bath today. She also has hook worms. She's under a year old. Our vet thinks the puppies are either dead from the fleas or she abandoned them for some reason.

She's also good with cats, which I unfortunately found out before knowing she has fleas. My cat gets a treatment tonight.

Very sweet pup..has really good car manners and a sweet disposition. She hopped in the seat and immediately stuck her head in my work bag and pulled out the half a bag of pepperoni I had in there.. I didn't want to grab something from an unfamiliar dog so I talked to her and patted her and slowly reached for it..she let me have it, no problem at all. She rode great and pawed and cried when we were almost home to let me know she needed to potty..so she may be housebroken..we'll see. She wolfed down her food and a gallon of water and is currently quarantined in the bathroom due to the fleas and worms. (I also potty her in a lot next to the house where my own dog has no acccess. All in all she seems lovely and hungry and when she gets some meat on her bones and a little love she will be a lovely pet, im sure.

I welcome advice about getting her better..I will continue to post her as found around the county and then from there hopefully find her a great home. If no one claims her I can get her first round of shots, and likely a spay. Hopefully we can get her somewhere good, she's so cute.
